This blanket would look entirely different worked in blues and yellows or black, gray and blue and would not have a Southwestern theme.

It is also suitable as a scrap blanket worked in many different non-repeating colors.

This design is expressed in the soft, beautiful colors of Malabrigo Worsted, a fine roving-style yarn. The pattern has two sizes, with the larger being pictured on this page.

Inspiration

Southwest style decorating comes and goes in popularity but I live in a 1926 Mission style house that is just begging for some authentic home décor, and I designed this blanket to fill that void.

Fun fact: the leftovers of this blanket and of Prisma (both worked in wonderful Malabrigo Worsted) were used to design and make the sample of the Safe at Home Blanket.
