COAST Blanket

KnitTing Pattern from Geometric Knit Blankets book, by Margaret Holzmann

Ocean breezes, waves and sand dunes inspired this undulating striped blanket. Worked in Premier Anti-Pilling Bamboo chunky and Premier Puzzle, this knits up quickly into a warm and cozy blanket.

Coast is one of 30 blankets in the Geometric Knit Blankets book.

Self-striping yarn creates detail and depth

This pattern is worked in strips and seamed. There are just two simple shapes to master. The lighter shade is worked in Puzzle yarn which is a self-striping yarn. Puzzle comes in many different beautiful colorways, which can be paired with solid shades of Anti-Pilling Bamboo.

INSPIRATION

The idea for this blanket came from my love of the beach. Some of the best times we have had since moving to California are at the Pacific Ocean, particularly in the area of Ventura which has the most temperate climate in the USA, and wide expanses of sandy beach framed by mountains.
